Wu CHi Yong
Biography
Wu Chi Yong, native of Tang Shan City, Hebei Privince, was born in 1948. He graduated from the Department of Art in Hebei Teacher Training College and took up a teaching position there after graduating. In 1979 he studied in the Faculty of Traditional Chinese Painting of China Art Institute, and in 1985 he entered the Faculty of Traditional Painting in Zhejiang Art Institute. He was later appointed as Lecturer of the Faculty of Traditional Painting in Zhejiang Art Institute, a founding member of the Chinese Artist Association, and a member of the Zhejiang Figure Painting Research Association.
His works have won several awards in art exhibitions in China, and have also been published and collected by museums and art galleries in China. His works have been exhibited in France, Japan, Canada, U.S.A, Germany and Hong Kong, and he is a listed artist in the “Art Dictionary and Chinese Art Yearbook”.
