John Graham
BIOGRAPHY
John Graham is an Internationally collected artist with over 25 years of exhibiting work in galleries. John’s style is primarily that of an expressionist and his subject has remained the landscape and figure. His works have focused on animals, birds, the nude and landscapes. A keen traveler, John has travelled to Africa, India, Nepal, and Southeast Asia on many occasions working on a series of paintings titled “Paintings from the Road” since 1987.
His work has been selected as finalist for numerous famous art competitions including the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize, the Heysen Prize, the Norvill Prize and the Mission to Seafarers Maritime Art Prize. His work is represented by the following galleries in Melbourne -TheJackman Gallery, The Hawthorn Gallery, Tusk Gallery Kazari Gallery and Without Pier. He has also had has work exhibited at: Yering Station Gallery (Yarra Glen), Louey and Lane Gallery (Melbourne), Qdos Gallery (Lorne), Gadfly Gallery (Perth), Greenhill Gallery (Adelaide), Collins Street Gallery (Melbourne), Linden Gallery (Melbourne), Coventry Gallery (Sydney), and Christies (Sth Yarra, Melbourne).
John Graham’s work has been published in New Art 5, and has also been commissioned and printed on cards by Avant Cards and The Ink Group, featuring his artwork “Kangaroos” , “The Blue Band” and “Feral Cat in Rosebush”.
